Edinburgh Furniture Shop Sale
Welcome again to a new blog from the owner of the Urbane furniture shop in Edinburgh.
So here we are, starting the new month of October (my birthday month) and to clear the shops display of old, tired looking stock and products we can no longer order in new we have began our second sale of the year.
3 Years on and it's time to refurbish
We also really need to paint the inside of our wee store as hanging up mirrors and pictures over the past 3 years in the Edinburgh shop have started to take there toll so selling off most the display furniture helps create space for said painting.
We're not like the others
UNLIKE (yes in capitals and bold as I really want you to take notice of this next statement) OTHER FURNITURE SHOPS on online or in the street we do not have our prices elevated for 28 days so that we can continue to have a sale for the following 337 days.
Or as I noticed yesterday (another wee sneaky way of getting around having a 50% off sale all the time) create a website with the 'so called 50% off sale' label and another one with the prices twice as much....and then just refer back to the higher priced website to say 'yes it was always that price'
Unscrupulous and despicable behaviour.
These sort of underhand sales techniques really (as Peter Griffin would say) Grind my Gears!

Sale time in our furniture shop lasts a maximum of 8 weeks, this is actually perfect timing for the launch of our much needed and anticipated fully responsive, e-commerce, all singing and dancing, kick ass web site WAHOOO!

The current web site you see was built entirely from scratch by a complete novice A.K.A - me (I know furniture not web design or blogging)
I definitely know for a fact that I am not a web developer, SEO master, graphic designer, blah blah blah... However the mission and purpose of this dinosaur of a website was to get noticed on the internet which it has served.
So a new website in a couple of months with loads of new furniture ranges where our beloved returning and new customers can make purchases easily from the comfort of their home is definitely the way forward for Urbane furniture.
To help fund the build of this web site (as they're not cheap) and to clear space for painting and new furniture arrivals for display in the shop meant that a sale was inevitable.

The prices currently on our old website are not our sale prices so if you like the look of anything please just give us a call or email us.
We try to keep our prices cheaper than anyone else in the UK and that includes the bedroom sellers (people with only an online presence). We will price match anyone on the internet or in any other store should you manage to find any of our furniture cheaper anywhere else, however we do a lot of research and spend a good few hours every week to make sure we are the cheapest to save you the time in doing so.

New Furniture in the Edinburgh Shop
By the end of this week we should have our new Beijing furniture ranges on display which should inject a bit of colour to our store.
These new ranges are hand finished and delivered to you FREE during our sale, seriously though No delivery is free (there is still no free fuel yet) we subside this for you, because we really want to give you a great deal and the best shopping experience we can.
